Description
Demonstrates the effects of pipe surge and water hammer. Two separate straight pipes with constant head tank. Pipe surge uses a clear acrylic shaft for gradual velocity change (pressure rise) and oscillations on slow valve closing. Water hammer uses a quick closing valve, pressure sensors, dual beam oscilloscope, and printer to demonstrate the sudden rise in pressure on quick closing valve. PC-data acquisition capabilities are optional . Used in conjunction with FM 100 Hydraulics Bench.
